Good Questions

Leaks & Pipes FAQs

How do you find a leak inside a wall?

We trace leaks with a mix of moisture meters, pressure testing, and experience reading how water travels. That lets us open the smallest possible area to reach the leak, instead of tearing out a whole wall to go looking for it.

My pipe just burst. What should I do right now?

Shut off your main water valve first to stop the flooding, then call us. If you are not sure where the main shutoff is, we will talk you through finding it on the phone while we head your way.

Can you fix a frozen pipe before it bursts?

Often yes, if you catch it early. If a pipe is frozen but not yet split, we can thaw and insulate it and check for damage. We also fix the cold spot that let it freeze so it does not happen again next winter.

Is a small drip really worth fixing?

Yes. A slow drip wastes water every day and, worse, keeps materials wet enough to rot wood and grow mold. Fixing a five-minute drip now is far cheaper than repairing a ceiling later.
